Happy Mid-Autumn to Everyone~! This year is on October 3rd. So be sure to go gaze at the fullest moon of the year!
The Wikipedia entry for Mid-Autumn Festival was my inspiration, [link]
八月十五殺韃子 = "Kill the Mongols on the 15th day of the 8th month" <---that's what it says on the Wiki entry. It's one of the many common legends to the creation of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
i thought it would be funny if China (from Hetalia) being cute and all, had such a horrible genocidal message. So to any Mongolians, i apologize for my drawing.
gawd...that fugly mooncake was hard to draw.......need to plan better if i ever draw mooncakes ever again.....
MOOOOOONCAAAAAKEEE! Ponyo's Fujimoto: "THE MOOOOON....CAKE IS GETTING CLOSER <---okay so that part was short in the movie but what of it? It was funny how no one noticed. "we need to save those cute little kids and their love, maaaayybeee the moon while we're at it"
Anyways mooncakes are nummy. I learned about them in Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat when I was little
you are seriously hooked onto Ponyo, aren't you? i recently watched Evangelion 1.0 with my friends last weekend. I'm kinda still in that haze
remember the old lady, Toki, in Ponyo? My friends and i agree that she had the normaliest reaction when she first saw a fish with a human face. The other old ladies were all just like "oh how nice~"
lol actually mooncakes are ok. just eating it for tradition.
Yeah when I first saw it, I was like..."whatever". But then suddenly I became a fan, it's like some type of slow-acting poison... you dunno, you dunno, BAM you're dead. XD But it's not poison, it's whatever the opposite of poison is. XD
Yeah, my friends too. One said she couldn't even classify that as a fish or anything. It was just not normal. I guess its normal for fish to have faces in Japan though. XD
China-tan with such a message, it's simply adorable for some reason ne : D
Haha, great art~
You just can't be mad at such a cute face D:
